Principal's Corner

Welcome to Radney Elementary!

I am extremely honored and excited to be named as principal of William L. Radney Elementary School.  Alexander City has been my home for fifteen years, and I have worked in our school system since 2009.  I have a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education/Social Sciences from AUM.  I also hold a Master's in Educational Leadership from Jacksonville State, and an Ed.S. from the University of Alabama.

Here at Radney, we believe in preparing students to set big goals and to be successful in whatever they wish to pursue.  We are here to bridge the gap between elementary and secondary, offering students a chance to grow as individuals.  The Radney faculty and staff encourage our students to become leaders, set an example, and push themselves academically.  The school has a long tradition of high levels of achievement, and we are committed to creating a culture and climate that lays the foundation for excellence.

The instructional model at our school is designed to build 21st century skills, preparing students to be successful at ACMS and Benjamin Russell High School.  This year presents a number of challenges, but I like to look at challenges as opportunities for growth.  Push yourself to learn and build your abilities.  I am looking forward to serving you and our community.
